Verónica Trujillo is a Financial Sector Specialist focusing on expanding Digital Financial Services (DFS). She has experience supporting the design and implementation of NFIS, the digitization of G2P payments, undertaking Digital Financial Services and RegTech assessments, analyzing the regulatory framework for non-banks, agents, microfinance, and DFS specific products (e.g., e-money, digital payments, crowdfunding, among others). Verónica has worked in various related projects for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and USAID. While working at the IADB, she was part of the publication of the Global Microscope of Financial Inclusion Team. She led a project to build a regional database on financial institutions’ sustainability and outreach indicators. Verónica is a Ph.D. from Salamanca University and has a master’s degree in ‘International Relations and Diplomacy’ and another in ‘Law and Economics.’ She is a lawyer by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
