Ririn Salwa Purnamasari


Ririn Salwa Purnamasari is a Senior Economist with the World Bank's East Asia and Pacific Poverty and Equity Global Practice. She is one of the key staffs in conducting analytical work and providing technical assistance to the government counterparts on poverty, inequality, employment, and gender issues in Indonesia. She also serves as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion representative for the World Bank Indonesia Country Office.

Ririn currently also leads the country work program on poverty and inequality in Malaysia. Previously, she led the World Bank poverty engagements in Timor-Leste and worked in the Social Protection and Jobs Team in the Philippines and Malaysia.

Prior to joining the World Bank, she was a research partner of the Center for International Forestry Research. She also worked at Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in Rome, and the Indonesia Statistical Office in Jakarta. An Indonesian national, Ririn holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
