Maria Laura Gonzalez Canosa is a consultant in the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific Chief Economist Office, where she leads outreach and dissemination for publications and other knowledge products.
Before joining the World Bank, Maria Laura worked with The Animal Fund, an international NGO; CleantechHUB, an innovation platform; the Chamber of Commerce of Colombia; and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
She brings experience in digital content strategy and stakeholder engagement. She has a background spanning economic analysis, project coordination, and strategic communications.
Maria Laura is completing a Master’s degree in Economic Expertise for Public Policies and Development Projects from Sorbonne University (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, jointly delivered with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and Italian.
