Gary Rice leads Treasury Investment Operations on behalf of the World Bank Group, and is responsible for coordination over $160 billion in capital market operational activities including championing business line initiatives, pioneering change and business innovation in complex, global operations, and mobilizing and engaging diverse teams to achieve optimal performance and top level of excellence.
With more than 20 years’ experience in financial service and treasury operations, Gary has wide-ranging experience in this area with special emphasis on working with clients to develop capacity to support their financial operations in a global environment. These clients include central banks, central government agencies, national pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Gary held positions at the Federal Deposit Insurance Company, Friedman, Billings Ramsey, Freddie Mac, and state and local government agencies devising forward-facing strategies that enhanced operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
Gary holds BSc International Management / Finance from Arizona State University.
