The objective of this consultation is to provide; among other things; solutions for the economic viability of mini-grids installed in Benin by identifying appropriate mechanisms to extend the existing EHR concessions and allow off-grid electricity concessionaires to either gradually increase their volume of turnover; amortize fixed costs or find other means or mechanisms to be refined in order to sustainably pursue the Government's vision of providing every Beninese with equitable and nondiscriminatory access to adequate; quality electricity service through increased private sector involvement. It also seeks to propose a strategy for accelerating; with the contribution of private investment; the electrification of Benin's relatively isolated rural localities.
