IFC would like to hire a Consulting firm with knowledge and expertise in Islamic banking to conduct an in-depth demand and supply side assessment of the MSME finance market mainly in the northern part of Nigeria. The assessment will prioritize women entrepreneurs and rural agri businesses and scope further potential digital players who can help to identify the appropriate technology that banks can deploy to expand digital financial services in the identified towns/areas. The proposed assessment will help IFC to build a better understanding of the MSME landscape and the challenges faced by MSMEs in accessing financial and non-financial services; and to develop interventions to support participating banks to grow and improve their MSME banking under the Islamic finance structure.
