IFC is seeking to support the development of a logistics channel in the Macuze area to facilitate the export of bulk raw materials from northern Mozambique. In order to achieve this; IFC has proposed exploring alternative logistic options that have not been previously considered.To assist with this assignment; IFC is looking to hire a consultant who possesses expertise in the following areas:(i) Ports design and wave modeling;(ii) Road design and condition assessment; and(iii) Transshipment operations; along with financial proficiency to analyze and evaluate the various alternatives as part of a pre-feasibility study.The consultant will be responsible for understanding and assessing the project's requirements; compiling available data on existing and future infrastructure and equipment; characterizing the different alternatives; analyzing the gap; estimating capital expenditure (Capex); operational expenditure (Opex); and revenues. Ultimately; the consultant will determine the most suitable logistics alternative for transporting the cargo overseas. IFC will provide specific information regarding business seasonality and key metrics to support the consultant's analysis.
