The PPP Transaction Advisory Department of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”); a member of the World Bank Group; is in discussions with the Government of Barbados (“GoB”) through the Ministry of Energy and Business (“MoE”; or the “Client”) to support the Client on due diligence; transaction structuring; and implementation of a competitive tender process to attract a private sector lead sponsor to design; build; operate; and maintain a 30-50 MW onshore wind farm (the “Project”). In relation to the Project; IFC is seeking a Communication Consultant to assist with the stakeholder engagement; public relations; and strategic communications aspects of this Project. The Consultant shall support IFC and the Client with managing stakeholder relations and communicating effectively about the Project and how it fits into the overall development plan for the country; aiming at increasing awareness; improving stakeholder management; and garnering their long-term support for the Project. The Consultant will also help IFC and the Client manage any sensitive issues that arise in the media or during stakeholder consultations.
