The World Bank Group (WBG) publishes about one hundred formal publications annually. These publications are predominately in English, but include a variety of other languages, and are distributed to a worldwide audience both commercially and on a complimentary basis. Orders are received from a worldwide network of distributors, bookstores, corporate clients, governments, libraries, non-governmental and international organizations, schools and universities, World Bank Group staff, and other individuals.
In this connection, the WBG is hiring a qualified firm to provide services for PUBLICATION FULFILLMENT AND DISTRIBUTION SERVICE OPERATIONS at its Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
i. Provide Customer Service
ii. Provide Publications Warehousing and Inventory Management
iii. Receive and process orders including picking, packing and shipping
iv. Manage standing orders and shipments; subscriptions to periodic publications and series
v. Maintain and update customer records in its digital Customer Relations Management (CRM) system
vi. Manage account receivables
vii. Provide efficient and cost-effective Print-On-Demand (POD) services
viii. Provide sales and marketing service
ix. Assess requirements and implement transitions
