WBG’s IT portfolio is supported by the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) VPU and is tightly linked with the institutions’ overall strategic direction. ITS enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty by 2030 and boosting shared prosperity in a sustainable manner by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 130 client countries.
The World Bank Group's IT initiatives are managed by the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) organization led by the WBG CIO. The overarching business goal of the IT function at the WBG is to provide high quality of technology service in support of the institution’s development mission. The WBG uses a combination of staff and contractor resources to effectively meet its work program needs.
