The World Bank Group (WBG) is seeking to procure the services of a General Contractor for the I (Eye) building, located at 1850 I St NW, Washington, DC 20433. This building was constructed in 1980 and consists of a brick-and-mortar facade. The repairs to the facade were identified on a 2020 facility condition assessment study.   The Works includes:                                                            

A. Examine the site and verify dimensions and conditions necessary for completion of the work.   

B. Provide  protection  barriers  and  work  curtains  to  restrict  access  to  work  areas  and  to  maintain safety for the building occupants, pedestrians, and vehicles and to minimize, control, and contain any debris generated by the work of this Contract.                                           

C. Contractor  shall  install  overhead  protection  at  all  pedestrian  and  vehicular  access points when working in vicinity, as well as at areas of travel that must be maintained. Overhead protection to be comprised of sturdy construction, aesthetics to blend in with the general appearance of the building exterior, and electrical to be provided within walkways .Appearance subject to Owner approval.

D. Provide  temporary  waterproofing  protection  between  removal  stages  and  installation  of  new materials.                                                                                                                            

E. Provide and support elements adjacent to work areas to prevent damage or displacement during repair work.                                                                                                                   

F. Contractor shall utilize equipment and methods as required to comply with all OSHA requirements and regulations during repair work. At a minimum, Contractor will be required to utilize “dustless” grinders, saws, and other equipment that may create dust.                        

G. Contractor    shall    verify    independently,    and    with    Engineer,    repair quantities. Provide documentation and accounting of actual repair quantities with each application for payment.                                                                                                                 

H. Provide  labor,  materials,  equipment and  supervision  to  perform  the  work  as  required  by  the Technical  Specifications,  and  as  outlined  below.  Work  to  take  place  at  work  areas indicated on drawings.                                                                                                                            

I. Clean up and remove from site all construction debris in areas used in construction of this project on a daily basis. Clean-up site and building at project completion to satisfaction of Engineer and Owner.

J.  Repair all damage resulting from work
