CLOSING DATE AND TIME:  FEBRUARY 20, 2019 @ 11.45 PM EST

The World Bank Scholarship Program (DECSP) of the World Bank Group (WBG), hereinafter referred to as “DECSP”, invites accredited institutions currently offering master degree programs in development to respond to a Request for Information (RFI) for the delivery of services related to hosting scholars funded by the Government of Japan through the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP) to attain master degrees in development (excluding Law and Masters in Business Administration).

The primary objective of this Request for information (RFI) is to collect data and other information from high-performing accredited academic institutions who are currently offering master degree programs in development, with the aim to learn how these master degree programs measure, and compare to other leading academic institutions, their capacity to both recruit a diversified pool of admitted mid-career professionals and to equip their enrolled students with knowledge and skills that will enhance their capacity to contribute to efforts to alleviate poverty and broaden shared prosperity in developing countries.

The intended outcome of the RFI process is to:

1.  Review and identify top-notch accredited academic institutions with a 5-year or more track record of offering high quality master degree programs on one or more development topics, and of recruiting a diversified pool of admitted students to the master degree program who meet JJWBGSP eligibility criteria.

2.  Identify academic institutions interested in participating in either the preferred and/or partnership mode JJWBGSP uses to award scholarships.

3.  Gather sufficient industry information, with the view to possibly prepare a subsequent solicitation in order to identify a new set of preferred and partnership master degree programs, which may or may not include JJWBGSP’s current preferred and partnership master degree programs.

Responder is asked to prepare its response following the format provided by the World Bank, which is available upon request via email.
