Payments within the education sector are a challenge for families, schools, teachers, and governments. Cash payments often require traveling long distances to stand in time-consuming bank queues, resulting in late or non-payment from families and time out of the classroom for teachers. Low-income households also struggle to come up with the money for school and many children miss out on school because their family can’t pay. Mobile money provides promising opportunities to make it easier and more affordable to make payments within the education sector.

CGAP, World Bank and USAID invite you to join us as we share insights from our recent research and discuss opportunities for further investigation and collaboration.
