This is a launch event for the global report, “Gender Dimensions of Disaster Risk and Resilience – Existing Evidence”. Joined by team leaders of gender-tagged disaster risk management projects, this report launch is focused on how analytics can partner with operations on the ground. The report is an overview of existing evidence on how gender dynamics influence disaster impacts, as well as capacity to recover from a disaster. Findings are organized around a conceptual framework that can be useful for teams looking to do gender gap assessments, and provides policy recommendations.
