Supporting Young Children and Elderly in Cambodia and Viet Nam

A project supported by the Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) recently helped establish nine community-based childcare centers in Cambodia for the children of garment factory workers.  The project resulted in improved employment and labor outcomes, reduced unpaid household childcare an improved child development.  In Viet Nam, a JSDF-supported project helped increase the participation of the elderly in income-generating activities and community-based health and social care services.
