Women’s labor force participation In the Kyrgyz Republic stood at 45.4% in 2022 compared to 74.7% for men. The Livelihoods for Youth (L4Y) Community Support Project helped address this gender gap by helping young people, like Nurgul, develop their skills and boost their employability. With support and training from L4Y, Nurgul started a sewing school in her husband’s village, creating opportunities for women in education, training, and employment that is changing lives.
