Sameh Wahba—World Bank Regional Director for Sustainable Development, Europe and Central Asia—visited Romania November 2-3, 2022, to discuss with authorities and stakeholders specific activities under the World Bank program in the country focused on rural pollution prevention and reduction, water security, and disaster risk management. In this video, Sameh shares his thoughts on the main constraints challenging Romania to pursue sustainable development and ways to tackle this, including through World Bank support provided to the Romanian Government to enhance critical infrastructure in the country such as firefighting stations.
