The Human Rights, Inclusion and Empowerment (HRIE) Secretariat is launching with this interview a series of short videos that aim to highlight the innovative work funded by HRIE grants. The HRIE Umbrella aims to increase and strengthen the understanding and application of human rights principles across the World Bank Group’s work. The HRIE grants fall under five pillars:(1) Infrastructure (2) Governance, inclusive institutions and empowerment (3) Fragility, conflict, violence and forced displacement (4) Social inclusion (5) Research and evaluation. To mark Human Rights Day on December 10 and kick off the interview series, this first interview features HRIE Program Manager Margot Skarpeteig.
