00:38 The World Bank has been active

00:42 for over 30 years,

00:44 and this year marks that very important 30-year anniversary.

00:51 Georgia has overcome numerous challenges and at the

00:53 same time has embarked on a truly groundbreaking

00:57 economic reform pathway.

01:02 Bank has served as a trusted partner to successive.

01:07 we have provided $3.3 billion in financial support spanning across 84 projects

01:14 across different sectors of the economy

01:16 such as infrastructure,

01:18 transport,

01:18 the East-West Highway,

01:19 for example,

01:20 agriculture,

01:21 energy,

01:22 regional development,

01:23 but also human capital such as education and health sector reforms,

01:27 and we also invest in important cross-cutting themes such as innovation,

01:32 gender,

01:33 the climate agenda.

01:34 And we have done

01:35 all of this to fulfill our agreed upon strategy here in Georgia,

01:40 which rests on three pillars

01:43 increase and further economic competitiveness.

01:46 To invest in the people of Georgia through improved human capital

01:50 and to build a more resilient and sustainable growth model.
