01:34 the deliberate delay in addressing the root causes of the crisis

01:37 runs the risk of systemic failing of state institutions.

01:41 Therefore,

01:41 it is extremely urgent for the Lebanese

01:43 government and all the stakeholders to adopt and

01:46 implement a comprehensive reform and recovery program

01:49 to prevent the state from further sinking.

01:55 It's been 2 years

01:57 since the blast in the port of Beirut.

01:59 Unfortunately,

02:01 the investigation continues to be impeded.

02:04 The people and the families of the victims have a right to know

02:07 what happened and who is responsible for what happened.

02:11 Without accountability,

02:12 this country cannot move forward.

02:14 Impunity cannot and should not be the norm.

Two years after the tragic blast of the port of Beirut, we have managed with the partners to come up with a people-centered recovery. Unfortunately, in terms of reforms, very little has been achieved. It is very important that we push for the social protection strategy because this is the only way to protect the most vulnerable and really to leave no one behind. Therefore, it is extremely urgent for the Lebanese government and all the stakeholders to adopt and implement a comprehensive reform and recovery program to prevent the state from further sinking.
