00:01 I'm really inspired by the twin goals of the bank,

00:04 that is to end extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity.

00:10 As part of the World Bank Group,

00:12 I feel like I just do my job in the best way and then naturally that fit into

00:17 the battering of the world,

00:19 and that feels really motivating.

00:22 My name is Yan Chao Lee,

00:24 and I'm a private sector specialist in the young professionals program.

00:30 When you are satisfied with your life and yourself,

00:33 then

00:34 naturally you are more productive and more

00:36 happy to come to work.

00:38 I feel like uh the World Bank Group is the organization

00:42 where it cares deeply about its employees.

00:45 My colleagues,

00:46 they come from,

00:46 Um,

00:47 very diverse backgrounds.

00:49 They all have very interesting stories,

00:51 and every day I learn from them.

00:53 And the projects,

00:54 you never get bored with the projects because

00:56 you have different types of projects you can

00:59 configure as part of your portfolio.

01:01 It's really interesting and motivating work.

01:06 I think the young Professionals program offers

01:08 two tremendous advantages.

01:11 You can cross the landscape of the whole organization,

01:14 or even the whole world because you feel

01:16 you're connected as part of the same network,

01:19 that's the YPP network.

01:21 And another tremendous advantage is the rotation and the training opportunities.

01:26 It's sort of structured program.

01:29 And that's very rare in any kind of given

01:32 organization for any given positions.

01:35 There's a reputation of the program.

01:37 It's,

01:38 it's been there for more than half a century.

01:41 So besides you do your daily job,

01:43 do it well,

01:44 you are also expected

01:45 in the long term

01:46 to be a very organic part of the group.

01:50 They want you to grow together with the organization in the

01:54 way.

01:54 In this way,

01:55 I feel very loyal.

01:57 So in general,

01:57 I found the young professionals program

02:00 very helpful in shaping my career,

02:03 and very importantly,

02:05 to integrate me as part of the overall mission of the World Bank Group,

02:10 which is to help the world.
