Since 2014, some 2.7 million people from Donbas have been displaced, and over 4 million have been directly affected by continuing hostilities. The World Bank project “Hand of Help” provides microfinancing of around $2,500 for internally displaced and poor Ukrainians to help them start their own businesses. In just under a year, 157 people were able to start new businesses, in three regions of Ukraine.
