Farmers in northern Afghanistan now have enough water to increase the area of cultivatable land, boosting their farms productivity. The Baghat canal one of 50 irrigation canals in northern Afghanistan was recently paved by the On-Farm Water Management Project, preventing water wastage and increasing efficiency of the water flow to irrigate surrounding farmlands.
