Clean Individual Heating Solutions in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan

Many households in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan rely on traditional stoves or simple low-pressure boilers burning solid fuels such as coal, dung, and wood for heating and cooking. These stoves and small boilers are highly inefficient and often polluting with serious health impacts. The Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and the World Bank have launched an efficient heating stove pilot program promoting sustainable individual heating solutions.
