Fisheries and aquaculture contribute $24 billion to Africa's economy and employ 12 million people. An additional $300 million could be generated each year in West Africa with better governance. The West Africa Regional Fisheries Program supports Guinea Bissau and other countries to improve the sector and increase the wealth generated.
