Community-based tourism has become one of the fastest growing forms of tourism globally. Jamaica, with its rich history and culture, is well positioned to take maximum advantage. Through the Rural Economic Development Initiative, the World Bank supports rural communities across Jamaica to boost opportunities for tourism services and the creation of micro and small-scale businesses.
