Urban areas are already home to more than half the global population. By 2050, another 2.5 billion individuals will move to cities in search of opportunities and a better life. But rising inequality and social exclusion mean urbanization can also trap them into poverty. To make sure people truly reap the benefits of urbanization, we need to create cities that include everyone - from a social, economic, and spatial perspective.
