Cultivating Forest Plantations: A Sustainable Way to Reduce Poverty in Vietnam

More than 43,000 households in Vietnam received access to low-interest loans to cultivate forest plantations under the Forest Sector Development Project. Covering 76,500 hectares (190,000 acres), the World Bank-supported project has brought strong social, environmental and economic benefits to local communities.
