In rural Rajasthan in Northern India, girls traditionally stayed at home and were sometimes married off when they are young. Things have started to change.
For the first time in her life, Puja is going to school and has learned to read and write while having fun. She is making her dreams come true under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan program which is changing the lives of girls across rural India through promoting universal primary education. Girls who have dropped out or have never been to school now have a second chance of getting an education.
