World Bank Group Statement on on the 13th Anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

“In the thirteen years since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, Japan has provided valuable guidance and mentorship on reconstruction and resilience efforts to the international community. Working with the Government of Japan and other key partners, the World Bank is providing support to developing countries in their efforts to strengthen their resilience to climate change and natural disasters. We look forward to organizing this June’s Understanding Risk Global Forum in Himeji, Japan, at which Japanese knowledge and expertise will globally shared.”
