WASHINGTON, April 19 – Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with First Deputy Prime Minister Nadia Calviño of Spain, Minister for the Economy and Digital Transformation, Spain’s Governor of the World Bank Group, and IMFC Chair.
President Malpass and Deputy Prime Minister Calviño discussed the impact of the war in Ukraine, the crises facing low- and middle-income countries, and the World Bank’s collaboration with the IMF on debt and the G20’s Common Framework. They also discussed the World Bank Group’s support for countries facing fragility, conflict, and violence.
President Malpass thanked Deputy Prime Minister Calviño for Spain’s support to IDA20.
