Word Bank Issues Deutsche Mark 250 Million Notes

The World Bank announced that it has issued DM 250 million ($144 million) of six-year notes through an international syndicate of cooperative banks that are members of the Unico group. The syndicate is lead-managed by Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank (DGBank). Interest on the notes is 6-1/4 percent, payable annually on November 20. The issue is priced at 100.25 percent, for a yield to investors of 6.11 percent on a semi-annual equivalent basis. The notes are non-callable and will be repaid at par on November 20, 1993.

Proceeds of the issue will be used in the general operations of the World Bank.
