World Bank Announces Placement of 100 Million Dutch Guilder Notes

The World Bank today announced a placement of 7-3/4% five-year notes totaling 100 million Dutch Guilder (about $29.4 million equivalent). The notes were offered at a price of par and have been fully subscribed.

The notes were placed by a syndicate headed by Algemene Bank Nederland N.V. Other members of the syndicate are Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank N.V.; Bank Mees en Hope N.V.; Pierson. Heldring and Pierson N.V.; Cooperative Raiffeisen-Boerenleenbank B.A.; Nederlandsche Middenstandsbank N.V.; Deutsch Bank A.G.; and Union Bank of Switzerland (Securities) Limited.
