World Bank Offers $250 Million 5-Year Notes

Robert S. McNamara, President of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), announced today that the World Bank intends to offer 1n the United States $250,000,000 principal amount of five-year notes dated January 15, 1972 and maturing January 15, 1977. The notes will not be redeemable prior to maturity.

The notes will be offered through a nationwide group of underwriters headed by Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, Salomon Brothers and The First Boston Corporation. It is expected that the notes will be offered for sale in the first week of January 1972.
