Pakistan: Resilient Institutions for Sustainable Economy Program

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2020 – The World Bank’s Board of Directors approved today the following program:

Resilient Institutions for Sustainable Economy Program

IDA Credit: $250 million

Terms: Maturity = 30 years, Grace =5 years

IBRD Loan: $250 million

Terms: Maturity = 25.5 years, Grace = 5.5 years

Project ID: P171850

Program description: The program will help Pakistan strengthen fiscal management, promote transparency and private sector growth, and undertake foundational reforms in the energy sector to transition to low-carbon energy. These reforms are critical to build fiscal resilience and stimulate recovery from impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
