Project Objectives Description: The Project Development Objective of the IDSP parent project (P102459) is to “provide improved access to irrigation services in selected sites in the Recipient’s territory.” Upon the Government of Republic of Zambia’s request, IDSP was restructured for a second time on January 20, 2020 to support the government to undertake Phase 1 of a remedial action plan to ensure the safety of ten dams that were constructed/rehabilitated under the World Bank funded “Water Resources Development Project (P114949),” which closed in November 2018.
