WASHINGTON, July 11, 2019 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved financing for the following project:
Bangladesh Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Project
IDA Credit: $100 million
Terms: Maturity = 30 years, Grace period = 5 years
Project ID: P161227
Project Description: The project aims to increase access to improved water supply and sanitation services in 30 municipalities and strengthen their institutional capacities for delivering water and sanitation services. It aims to provide access to improved water sources and access to clean sanitation services to at least 600,000 people. The identified municipalities are part of the 148 towns without piped water that were prioritized for funding by the Bangladesh government.
