The East Africa Girls' Empowerment and Resilience Program (EAGER) aims to address the challenges faced by 40 million girls out of school and 55 million underage brides, with men earning double women's income on average. With $832M in IDA funding, Phase 1 targets Mozambique and Madagascar, and future phases will include several African nations. The program's goals are to help 160,000 women boost their productivity, assist 26,000 officials in implementing gender-equality reforms, and enable 2 million girls to stay in or return to school.
