The E-Health Strategy and Claims Management project in Azerbaijan, aimed to provide the Azerbaijani government with policy options and recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the healthcare system and reduce the costs associated with running a mandatory insurance program.

Key achievements of the project include:

  • Analyzed Azerbaijan's digital health information system, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assessed current eHealth regulations and recommended legislative changes for better data sharing.
  • Evaluated provider payment methods and suggested enhancements.
  • Supported ongoing healthcare reforms towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
  • Reviewed the claims management system and proposed improvements to financial and clinical information systems.

The project successfully laid the groundwork for modernizing Azerbaijan's healthcare system and enhancing its financial sustainability.
