A study by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) found that sexism, abuse, and violence against women are occurring at alarming levels in parliaments across Europe. The majority of women MPs and parliamentary staff surveyed reported experiencing gender-based violence or harassment of some kind, yet very few reported it.
