Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2021 Side-Event.

The 2021 Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit represents a ‘make-or-break’ moment to mobilize ambitious, effective and sustainable commitments to address the challenge of ending malnutrition in all forms, including undernutrition and obesity. Since both donor and domestic resources are constrained by the pandemic, the need for concessional finance, private sector, and catalytic innovative finance is more urgent than ever before.

This roundtable discussion will bring together senior leaders and key stakeholders to discuss the nutrition financing landscape, key challenges and opportunities in realizing the ambitions. It will have a special focus on kick-starting a dialogue on exploring new funding modalities and set in motion a process for encouraging new partners to join the global nutrition movement and develop new ideas for innovative financing for nutrition, with the aim of crowding-in non-traditional resources and highlighting relevant areas for research and capacity development across the globe.
