Mind the Gap: Understanding Urban Inequality and Exclusion

November 12, 2020

  • The Social Sustainability and Inclusion Global Practice at the World Bank, in partnership with Pathfinders, invites you to join our webinar on understanding urban inequality and exclusion. The session will introduce the Mind the Gap (MTG) index, including findings from its pilot application in three large cities (Addis Ababa, Jakarta, and Mexico). The work highlights the importance of granular and up-to-date data, as well as the accumulating nature of disadvantage in poor neighborhoods. The results are relevant to efforts to improve the outcomes of urbanization, so that cities can realize their potential to expand opportunities for all.
