  • The Economic Policy Dialogue aims to enable national stakeholders to jointly identify economic and development priorities and possible solutions to the challenges posed to development. Not more than 20 selected participants will have an opportunity to present potential solutions on the theme adopted for that month. Their shared ideas will culminate in recommendations to feed into possible national socio-economic reforms to ensure better access to development in Tunisia, moves toward creating better employability for young people, and wider economic and financial inclusion. Backers of the initiative will forward suggestions to the Government of Tunisia on what avenues could be taken for further reflection, as well as recommending practical and pragmatic solutions.

  • Twelve sessions of the EDP will be organized in 2020, nine of them in Tunis and the other three will be held in other regions of Tunisia, in keeping with an innovative agenda designed to encourage the emergence of new ideas and forms of consensus. The schedule for the next three meetings is as follows:

    • Thursday, February 27 , 2020: Trade and Logistics (Tunis)
    • Thursday, March 26: Renewable Energy (Tunis)
    • Thursday, April 30: Alternative Tourism (Sbitla or Kairouan)
  • February 27th, Tentative Agenda

1- Facilitate trade by simplifying / dematerializing procedures related to international trade, by generalizing the use of Tunisia Trade Net (all operators and in all ports), and better coordination between all stakeholders.

2- Develop secondary logistics infrastructure outside port platforms, including logistics areas, bonded warehouses and dry ports.
