How to Realize Education’s Promise in Jordan

Join us on December 14th for a half-day event live from Amman hosted by the Government of Jordan, in collaboration with the World Bank and Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development, to discuss the findings of the World Development Report with Jordan’s education stakeholders.

  • In concert with the educational focus of the 2018 World Development Report “Learning to Realize Education’s Promise”,the country of Jordan is looking to improve its education outcomes and the quality of its schooling system for all students, especially given the strain on public services from the influx of refugees.

    Join us on December 14th for a half-day event live from Amman hosted by the Government of Jordan, in collaboration with the World Bank and Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development, to discuss the findings of the report with Jordan’s education stakeholders.

    Dr. Omar Razzaz, Minister of Education, and Saroj Kumar Jha, the World Bank Regional Director for the Mashreq Countries will speak ahead of a presentation on the latest World Development Report featuring the report co-directors, Deon P. Filmer and Halsey Rogers. A panel discussion will follow on what can be done to improve education in Jordan featuring Minister Razzaz, Senator Haifa Najjar, Basel Freihat, head of the Jordanian Teachers Syndicate, and World Bank Practice Manager Safaa El-Kogali.
