Winnie Wei Wang, Senior Transport Specialist, has worked at the Headquarters of the World Bank Group in Washington DC for the past nine years. Professionally trained in transportation planning, she has worked on urban transport, roads, railways and logistics across countries in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior, she worked at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for Metrorail planning including the introduction of the new silver line in the capital city and Transport for London (TfL) for intermodal planning in London. Ms. Wang is a graduate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she obtained Master of Transportation Planning degree with full fellowship.
Winnie was selected as a result of a Bank-wide competitive process and starts work in Colombo in late October 2019.
