Valerie has about twenty years of professional experience, seventeen of which with the World Bank.
Prior to her assignment in Colombo, she was Special Assistant to the South Asia Vice-President. Previously she worked on rural development operations for several countries in the Africa and South Asia regions. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked on natural resource management issues both in the private sector and public sector.
Valerie holds a Masters in Rural Development and Agricultural Economics from the National Agronomic Institute in Paris, France.
