Raul Andres Castaneda Aguilar is an Economist with the World Bank’s Development Data Group. His work focuses on three main areas: (1) developing programmatical tools for economists to make their work more efficient and less prone to errors; (2) translating economic theory into code, so that theories or methodologies proposed at the academic level can be accessible to practitioners and policymakers so that they can better understand their own data and formulate better policies; and (3) research on development economics with an emphasis on poverty and inequality measurement.
