Razvan Antonescu is a Romanian national with nine years of experience at the World Bank. He has served in a range of roles across several units, working both at Headquarters and in Country Offices. His work has focused mainly on business environment assessment, private sector development, regulatory management, digital policy, and innovation policy. He joined the Regulatory Efficiency team in 2016. Before the World Bank, Mr. Antonescu worked at the United Nations Development Programme and Romania’s Ministry of Information Society. He holds a master’s degree in management of business, innovation, and technology from the University of Sheffield and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Bucharest. He speaks Romanian, French, and Italian.
