Paul Snaith


Paul Snaith is Manager of Treasury Operations Capital Markets (TROCM), which supports booking, settlement and portfolio servicing for all funding and associated hedging transactions, all asset management swap transactions, and OTC collateral management operations for IBRD, IDA and Trust Fund and client portfolios.

Mr. Snaith is also Manager of Treasury Operations’ Banking and Cash Management (TROBK) and was until recently lead manager of TRO’s Chennai Operations. Mr. Snaith has a strong interest in Fintech such as Blockchain and Robotics, working closely with the Blockchain Innovation Lab and actively leading exploration of technology’s potential effects on capital markets and cross border payments. 

Mr. Snaith joined the Bank’s Finance Complex in 1989 to support newly developed distributed financial technology. He has held various managerial positions in the Bank’s Finance and Treasury areas, and has extensive experience in managing banking and back‐office financial operations, systems, technology and business continuity. Mr. Snaith joined the World Bank Treasury from the International Monetary Fund where he worked in their Bureau of Computing Services. Prior to the Fund Mr. Snaith worked for Martin Marietta Corporation in London and Maryland as a systems developer of manufacturing and distribution business systems.

Mr. Snaith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis, and attended the Bank’s Harvard Executive Development Program.
