Patrick Burkhalter has spent the past 13 years working with knowledge management, of which 9 were as an internal Knowledge Manager for the consulting arms of EY then PwC, first across Australasia then in the Middle East. Having started his career in intergovernmental work, he has since zigzagged between private and public sectors – a journey that allowed him to stumble across KM while working in the consumer health industry. This inspired him to pursue an MA in Information and Knowledge Management (following his MBA) in Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining the World Bank, Patrick was based in Europe and consulting independently.
